POSITION TITLE: Part Time Driver/Senior Advocate

I. JOB SUMMARY/ACCOUNTIBILITY:
The primary duties of the Senior Advocate/Driver role are to use company transportation to deliver food boxes to clients. The Senior Advocate/Driver will also be responsible for preparing and loading boxes, and the overall food distribution. The position will also support the senior team in administrative work including client files, intake, assessments, and building support
located at the Matrix Center. The requirement also includes supporting programming activities and phone calls.
II. POSITION QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma required.
- Valid MI Chauffeurs Drivers License required
- Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Basic Microsoft Office Suite proficiency required.
- Strong work ethic and commitment to quality services for families.
III. GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Use company transportation to timely and efficiently deliver food boxes to client homes.
- Utilize navigation applications to find the most optimal routes.
- Prepare food boxes for delivery.
- Assist with overall food distribution located at the Matrix Center and other Matrix sites.
- Provide high quality customer service when interacting with clients.
- Work in collaboration with other program staff specifically those facilitating senior services.
- Maintain overall vehicle maintenance and cleanliness by taking the company vehicle in for routine maintenance checks and overall interior and exterior cleaning.
- Maintain updated vehicle maintenance and mileage reports.
- Ensure that the vehicle has sufficient gas and is always ready for use.
- Administrative work to support all senior programs, including client files, assessments, surveys, etc.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
IV. WORKING AND ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Primarily works in the community using a company transportation to make deliveries to clients at their homes. Because of the needs of the program, will work outdoors often likely in inclement weather assisting with food distribution and driving to several locations three days per week every other week. The alternate weeks will be in the office located at the Matrix Center assisting with administrative duties associated with the senior programs.
