We are currently seeking an Associate Sports Director to work at the White Rock YMCA who, under the supervision of the Regional Sports Director, will provide support as assigned in order to ensure the effective administration of sports programs.

Qualifications

The Associate Sports Director should have good interpersonal skills and a cordial manner.
Must be able to work with members, volunteers, staff and vendors.
Candidates should have experience in Physical Education, Recreation, or related field.
Strong or general knowledge of soccer, baseball, basketball, football, volleyball, and other sports.
Must have a basic understanding of the management of facilities, equipment, and programs.
Currently hold or obtain all trainings and certifications required by YMCA guidelines for this position.
Current driver's license with acceptable record and vehicle liability insurance.
Must be able to drive to multiple locations as needed on practice nights and game days. Evening and weekend hours as assigned.
High school diploma required; Bachelor’s Degree preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Physically able to move freely throughout the facility and other program sites and the ability to lift 50 pounds.
The incumbent is frequently required to stand and walk.
Must have visual, hearing and physical dexterity to substitute as a sports referee.
Must be able to speak and write clearly and articulate accurate information.
The incumbent will be required to work evenings and weekends as assigned when programs or related functions occur.
