The Program Manager oversees all activities related to the successful creation, planning, and delivery of assigned programs to Girl Scouts of all ages, in order to create unique, enjoyable, and educational experiences for members.
At Girl Scouts of Eastern Missouri, most of our roles work in a hybrid capacity (in office, remote, and/or in the field). Details will be provided during the interview process.

The position is full time with a competitive minimum hiring rate of $47,448 per year!
Essential Job Duties
- Plan, organize, and execute the assigned programs, both in-person and virtually, throughout the Council.
- Schedule and plan the annual program calendar, adapting the national curriculum to GSEM programs.
- Research activities, develop new curriculum, and adjust existing curriculum for programs.
- Maintain inventory of supplies needed and purchase and prepare supplies as required.
- Create, manage, and track a large budget for the planned programs.
- Provide space and opportunities for program participants to demonstrate skills, including organizing team-building events.
- Provide wide-ranging administrative support to the program, confirming programs, answering emails from parents and collaborators, managing rosters, creating marketing content, and helping to respond to members' queries.
- Promote program collaboration with corporations and community partners where possible, reaching out to potential partners and coordinating roles within the program for partners.
- Plan and organize travel opportunities, including domestic and international travel.
- Ensure overall compliance with all applicable policies, funding source requirements, and safety activity guidelines, and complete all required documentation in an accurate, thorough, and timely manner.
- Serve as a collaborative team member, working to advance the mission of Girl Scouts.
- Build and maintain relationships with volunteers.
- Perform other duties as required and/or assigned.
QualificationsQualifications
- Bachelor's degree in relevant field or equivalent experience required.
- Some relevant experience working with youth, including classroom teaching experience is preferred.
- Valid state driver’s license, proof of insurance, and a driving record that is acceptable to our insurance carrier.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
- Knowledge of the curriculum for the assigned program and the ability to maintain the integrity of the curriculum during delivery.
- Ability to plan and coordinate events.
- Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to establish a good rapport with children, youth, and adults of all abilities.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and other general office equipment.
- Organized thinker with exceptional attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and in writing, and the ability to deliver programs confidently and professionally.
- Ability to provide a high level of customer service to internal and external customers, and to represent the organization in a professional manner.
- Ability to effectively organize and prioritize work as well as concentrate on multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Ability to work collaboratively with others.
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced, dynamic organization.
- Ability to work on evenings and weekends.
Physical Demands
While performing the duties of this job, the employee:
Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time operating a computer, including navigating websites, software platforms, spreadsheets and both electronic and paper documents.
Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery such as a calculator, copier, and computer printer.
Occasionally positions self to maintain files in file cabinets.
May need to move boxes weighing up to 25 pounds across office for various needs.
The ability to observe details at close range and at a distance.
Must be able to communicate information and ideas so others will understand.
Must be able to exchange accurate information.
Is required to drive/operate an automobile.
Work Environment
Constantly works in an indoor professional office environment. Exposed to moderate noise levels.
