In 2019, Ward Home joined the Auberle family and has three programs in our Young Adult Services Department.
Program Description:
The 412 Youth Zone is a drop-in resource center located in downtown Pittsburgh that provides a welcoming space and supportive services for transition-age youth (16–23) with current or past child welfare involvement or who are experiencing homelessness. Our goal is to help young people feel safe, supported, and connected as they navigate adulthood, offering resources in education, employment, financial literacy, housing, health and mental health, substance use, relationships, parenthood, and legal assistance.
Position Title and Overview:
Drop-In Center Supervisor
- Provide direct, ongoing supervision and performance feedback to 412 Youth Zone Support Specialists.
- Provide daily leadership and guidance to staff working at the Drop-In Center.
- Collaborate with the other Drop-In Center Supervisor on decision-making, problem-solving, and ensuring program and staff consistency.
- Ensure young people receive high-quality, relevant programming both within the center and in the community.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with community providers and partners to support collaboration and coordinated services.
- Oversee daily operations of the Drop-In Center, including maintaining safety, cleanliness, and a welcoming, supportive environment.
- Build trusting relationships with youth and support their individual growth and goal achievement.
- Promote creative ideas to streamline processes, better serve young people, and enhance engagement and positive outcomes.
- Ensure compliance with all policies and protocols related to hiring, training, discipline, and discharge.
Location and Travel Requirements:
This position is primarily located in Downtown Pittsburgh. All positions are also expected to come to training, meetings, and other events at Main Campus in McKeesport, as scheduled.
The travel required for this position is regular.

Qualifications.
Position Requirements:
· Act 33/34 and FBI Clearances
· Bachelor’s degree or a minimum of three years of experience working with youth (combination can be accepted).
· Valid driver’s license, reliable vehicle, registration and insurance
· Requires travel to youth homes and throughout the community.
· Involves exposure to tobacco smoke, domestic animals, household pests, and other conditions common to domestic environments.
· Requires working varied hours, including evenings, some weekends and holidays.
