Position Overview
St. Augustine Youth Services is seeking reliable and compassionate Awake Staff (Full Time) to provide overnight supervision and support to youth in our residential program. This position is responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and well-being of residents during overnight hours while maintaining a calm, structured environment.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain constant awake supervision of residents during overnight hours

Conduct regular safety rounds and facility checks

Respond promptly and appropriately to resident needs and emergencies

Document incidents, observations, and communications accurately and thoroughly
-
Communicate effectively with staff during shift changes and as needed
-
Enforce all agency policies, procedures, and safety protocols
-
Maintain a clean, organized, and secure facility environment
-
Promote positive interactions and appropriate behavior among residents

Participate in required onboarding, training, and professional development

Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications
-
High School Diploma or GED required
-
Experience working with at-risk youth preferred
-
Ability to remain awake and alert throughout overnight shifts

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Patience, professionalism, and sound judgment
