The Kirk Gibson Foundation, whose mission is to improve the quality of life of those living with Parkinsonâs through the development and delivery of activity\-based programs, has recently opened the Kirk Gibson Center for Parkinsonâs Wellness in Farmington Hills, Michigan. Funded and supported by the Foundation, the Center is the first of its kind in the state to offer daily programs and activities free of charge to people living with Parkinsonâs disease, their families and care partners. The Center also serves as a beacon of hope, help, and inspiration to those battling the disease, and will build a community of support and compassion while researching and developing better movement\-based programs. Over 60,000 class hours will be offered each year.

Position Summary:<\/span><\/b>
<\/div>

<\/span><\/b>The Database and Donor Experience Manager plays a critical role in advancing the organizationâs fundraising and stewardship efforts by managing donor data systems and ensuring a high\-quality, donor\-centered experience across all touchpoints. This position oversees the integrity and strategic use of the donor database, supports fundraising operations and reporting, and partners with development and communications staff to deliver timely, accurate, and meaningful donor engagement.

<\/span>Key Responsibilities:<\/span><\/b> <\/div>

<\/u><\/span><\/b>Database Management & Reporting<\/u><\/span> <\/div> Manage and maintain the organizationâs donor database\/CRM, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and <\/span><\/span><\/span>consistency of data.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li> Establish and enforce data entry standards, policies, and procedures.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li> Oversee gift processing, acknowledgments, and reconciliation in coordination with finance staff.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li> Create and maintain reports and dashboards to support fundraising strategy, donor retention, and leadership <\/span><\/span><\/span>decision\-making.<\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/li> Conduct data analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and risks related to donor engagement and revenue.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li> Manage database integrations with online giving platforms, email marketing tools, and other systems.<\/span>

Donor Experience & Stewardship<\/u><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/div> Design and implement donor stewardship and engagement processes that reflect best practices and the <\/span><\/span><\/span>organizationâs values.
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/li> Ensure timely, accurate, and personalized donor acknowledgments and communications.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li> Support donor journeys across channels (mail, email, events, digital) to enhance donor satisfaction and retention.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li> Collaborate with development and communications teams to segment donors and tailor outreach strategies.<\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/li> Monitor and improve donor experience metrics such as retention, response rates, and engagement levels.<\/span>

Development Operations Support<\/u><\/span>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/div> Support annual, major gifts, grants, events, and campaigns through data management and reporting.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li> Prepare donor lists, mailing files, and segmentation strategies.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li> Assist with moves management tracking and portfolio support for major gift efforts.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li> Document processes and provide training to staff on database use and donor data best practices.<\/span>

Compliance & Best Practices<\/u><\/span>

Requirements<\/h3>

Qualifications:<\/b><\/span>

Required<\/span><\/u>
<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span> <\/div> Bachelorâs degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li> 3\-5 years of experience in nonprofit database management, development operations, or fundraising support.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li> Proficiency with donor CRMs (e.g. â Bloomerang, or similar).<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li> Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li> High attention to detail and commitment to data integrity.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
<\/span><\/li> Excellent organizational, communication, and collaboration skills.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>

Preferred<\/span><\/u>

<\/span><\/li> Advanced skills in reporting, data visualization, or Excel.<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>
