** Advanced Support Worker – Falkirk (Camelon) **
Full-time (36 hrs) and part-time (24 hrs) roles available
If you’re someone who naturally goes the extra mile and genuinely enjoys helping others live their best lives, this could be the perfect role for you.
We’re looking for a proactive, friendly Advanced Support Worker to join our team in the Falkirk area, supporting a young man who lives in his own home in Camelon. He has complex needs, including a learning disability and Autism spectrum disorder, and he thrives with people who bring calmness and patience, but who are able to work through challenging times by maintaining strong boundaries.
Previous experience supporting people with complex needs is essential.
We’re looking for someone who can not only provide excellent support but also share their knowledge and help strengthen the whole team. An SVQ 3 in Health & Social Care would be highly desirable.
About the person you’ll support
He communicates non‑verbally, so being able to read body language and subtle cues is important. He responds best to people who are consistent, respectful of boundaries, and able to create a safe, reassuring environment.
He enjoys:
- Going out in the car
- Getting out into the community
- Planning new adventures (he would like to plan a holiday soon!)
Your support will help him stay safe, explore new activities, and enjoy a fulfilling daily routine.
What you’ll support him with
- Medication administration and epilepsy management
- Cooking, shopping, and meal planning
- Full support with personal care
- Maintaining his home and managing finances
- Finding and taking part in meaningful activities
Shift patterns
- 8am – 8pm (2:1 support)
- 8pm – 8am (1:1 support)
Shifts include days, weekends, bank holidays, and waking nights and all staff should be available to share these shifts to ensure fairness for all.
Requirements
- A UK driving licence (you’ll be driving an automatic mobility car)
- Minimum age 21 (insurance requirement)
- Experience supporting people with complex disabilities
- A calm, gentle approach with clear boundaries
What we offer
- A role where your work genuinely changes someone’s life
- A supportive team that values your experience
- Full-time or part-time hours
- A varied, meaningful job where no two days are the same
