KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Donor Stewardship & Individual Giving (50%)
- Manage a portfolio of individual donors, with particular focus on mid-level gift prospects ($1K - $5K)
- Develop and execute a moves management strategy to cultivate, solicit, and steward donors toward deeper engagement and increased giving
- Prepare and deliver personalized stewardship communications including thank-you calls, impact updates, and meaningful touchpoints throughout the year
- Oversee annual giving campaigns and appeals in collaboration with the CDO and Communications Associate
- Maintain accurate and detailed donor records in Bloomerang database, capturing all relationship-building interactions
Fundraising Events (35%)
- Lead the planning, logistics, and execution of LUW's signature fundraising and cultivation events, including the annual spring gala and fall benefit concert
- Develop event concepts, timelines, budgets, and revenue goals in partnership with the CDO
- Recruit, manage, and steward event committees, honorees, vendors, and sponsors
- Oversee solicitation and fulfillment of event sponsorships
- Coordinate with the Communications Associate on all event collateral, invitations, and digital promotion
- Conduct post-event analysis and apply learnings to strengthen future events
Grants Support (10%)
- Collaborate with the Development Data & Grants Coordinator to provide program narrative content for select grant applications and reports
- Cultivate relationships with foundation program officers as assigned by the CDO
Department Collaboration (5%)
- Represent LUW at community events, donor meetings, and public-facing engagements as needed
- Contribute donor stories and program information to support communications efforts
QUALIFICATIONS
- 3+ years of experience in fundraising, donor relations, sales, or a closely related field
- Proven experience planning and executing events with significant logistical complexity
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships that result in financial support or comparable outcomes
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including comfort with donor-facing correspondence
- Strong project management and organizational skills; ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office/Google Workspace; comfort learning CRM systems
- Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle for local travel
- Commitment to the mission and values of LUW
- Bachelor's degree required
