Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc. is seeking dependable and detail-oriented Janitorial Technicians.
Position Overview
Challenge Enterprises of North Florida, Inc. is looking for dedicated Janitorial Technicians to provide high-quality cleaning and sanitation services for office buildings and related facilities. In this role, you will help maintain safe, clean, and professional environments while delivering exceptional customer service to clients.
The ideal candidate takes pride in their work, values teamwork, and is committed to maintaining cleanliness, safety, and quality standards. Previous janitorial experience is helpful, but individuals with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.
What You'll Do
Cleaning & Facility Maintenance
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and scrub floors and stairways
- Clean and sanitize restrooms and restroom fixtures
- Clean sinks, countertops, toilets, mirrors, and bathroom stall partitions
- Dust and clean office desks, furniture, windowsills, and other surfaces
- Clean stairwells, common areas, and designated workspaces
- Empty trash receptacles, replace liners, and clean containers as needed
- Collect recyclable materials and transport them to designated collection areas
Supply & Equipment Management
- Restock restroom, breakroom, and common area supplies as needed
- Maintain janitorial closets in a clean, organized, and safe condition
- Properly use, maintain, and store cleaning equipment
- Report damaged equipment and maintenance concerns to supervisors promptly
- Follow proper chemical handling, dilution, labeling, and storage procedures
Safety & Compliance
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times
- Follow established cleaning procedures and safety guidelines
- Maintain awareness of cleaning products and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
- Help ensure facilities remain safe, clean, and welcoming for occupants and visitors
Customer Service & Teamwork
- Provide professional and courteous service to clients and building occupants
- Follow directions provided by the Project Manager or Supervisor
- Work independently and collaboratively to complete assigned tasks
- Perform additional duties as assigned to support operational needs

Required Qualifications
- Previous knowledge of performance-based cleaning or willingness to learn
- Ability to follow oral and written instructions
- Must pass a background check
- Ability to provide excellent customer service
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous janitorial, custodial, housekeeping, or commercial cleaning experience
- Familiarity with cleaning products, equipment, and Safety Data Sheets (SDS)
Physical Requirements
This position requires routine walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting, carrying, and moving materials throughout the workday. Employees must be able to lift and carry items weighing up to 50 pounds. Items exceeding 50 pounds require a team lift.
