The Indiana University Foundation is seeking a mission-driven, passionate fundraiser and community builder to serve as Director of Development, Women’s Philanthropy.
Under the leadership of IU’s 18th First Lady, Laurie Burns McRobbie, several visionary individuals established a collective giving group called the Women’s Philanthropy Leadership Council (WPLC) and Women’s Philanthropy at IU program in 2010 as a powerful force for good. Spanning IU’s campuses, around the country, and across the globe, leaders work together to mine their collective wisdom, achieve their vision, and create programs that support the innovative work of IU faculty, students, and staff.
Reporting to the Associate Vice President of Affinity Giving and working in close partnership with the Queer Philanthropy Circle and the Black Philanthropy Circle, the Director of Development is responsible for collaborating with and guiding key WPLC volunteers and IU/IU Foundation colleagues to identify new major gift prospects and cultivate relationships with individuals who seek to engage with or support Women’s Philanthropy initiatives.
The Director will identify, cultivate, solicit, and steward major gifts. Each academic year, the Women’s Philanthropy Leadership Council awards more than $200,000 to innovative programs and crucial initiatives across Indiana University’s campuses. The Director will play an instrumental role in the continued success of this grant program and grow the WPLC’s collective giving efforts in alignment with IU2030 strategic plan objectives.
This position is also responsible for volunteer management and leadership of the WPLC, as well as driving strategy and execution on certain events and meetings in support of affinity giving.
If you are an adept fundraiser and volunteer manager passionate about continuing the legacy of Women’s Philanthropy at IU, apply today!
