The Philanthropy Coordinator supports the Philanthropy team by maintaining meticulous donor records, processing all gifts, coordinating special events, and supporting administrative functions for the Director of Philanthropy and CEO. The person in this position should embody Peter Paul’s values and share a passion for the mission to aid in the fight against generational poverty by supporting the students and families of Richmond’s East End.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage Raiser’s Edge donor database to maintain records and to seek opportunities to create new reports that are useful to management.
- Ensure proper acknowledgement and management of gifts and pledges and provide status and progress reports.
- Manage mailed appeal process, including content, design, list segmentation, getting the letters to appropriate staff and board members for personalizing, and coordinating with the mailing house.
- Work in collaboration with philanthropy team to identify donor prospects; make connections as appropriate and help steward relationships.
- Works with the Director of Philanthropy to draft foundation grant proposals and acknowledgement letters.
- Manage informational lunches, including registration, coordination, and logistics.
- Maintain and update Development dashboard for Board and Philanthropy Committee meetings.
- Support CEO with Board meeting preparation, compiling and sending out materials in advance of the meetings.
- Coordinate and help prepare materials for donor visits for CEO and Director of Philanthropy.
- Coordinate and/or provide support for philanthropy events.
Compensation and Benefits
This full-time, salaried position is expected to be available during normal business hours and reports to the Director of Philanthropy. Benefits available to the employee include a percentage of health, dental, paid vacation and 401k. Starting salary at $40K.
