We are looking for 18 Personal Care Workers to work at our facilities based in Townsville and Rowes Bay of QLD. These positions will be available from April 2024. About the Role:
Our Personal Care Workers provide assistance to our residents and at home clients, ensuring they are supported with services and activities that are centred around their wellbeing, independence, interests and choices. These include:
- Assistance with their mobility and communication needs.
- Assistance with their meals.
- Engaging in social activities.
- Assistance with their personal care needs
As a Personal Care Worker, you will be responsible for maintaining hygiene and residents’ personal care needs such as dressing, grooming, mobility and exercise, light domestic cleaning duties, laundry, feeding, food and drink preparation, accompanying residents on outings / appointments / recreational activities in accordance with Bolton Clarke policies and procedures along with any activities as delegated by the Registered Nurse.
To be successful, you will have:
- Strong and clear verbal communication skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Valid working rights in Australia (Passport, Birth Certificate etc)
- Police Check (valid within the last 3 years)
- 2023 Flu vaccinations (or willingness to obtain)
- Evidence of Covid-19 vaccinations in line with current requirements
- Experience in care role highly regarded
- NDIS Workers Screening Clearance or willingness to obtain (if applicable)
- Current First Aid Certificate and CPR qualifications desirable
- Certificate III in Individual Support, Disability, Aged Care or Home and Community (desirable but not essential)
- Completion of CHCCS011 Meet Personal Support Needs module as part of one of the abovementioned qualifications (desirable but not essential)
Employment Details:
Minimum Hours: 76 hours per fortnight
Base Pay Rate: $30.11 per hour (Superannuation, overtime, penalty rates, allowances and other benefits provided in addition)
Employment Classification: Care Services Stream – Level 3 Pay point 1 under RSL Care Enterprise Agreement 2015
