Position Summary
Virtuous seeks a talented IT professional to join our team as a Jr. Systems Administrator working out of our downtown Phoenix, AZ office! The ideal candidate is proficient in providing top-notch technical support for internal team members by providing a world-class experience to everyone they interact with.
For an ideal candidate to be successful, they will need to assist Senior team members to protect critical information, systems, and assets (security is a top priority around here!); maintain solutions, develop task automation, implement new software and hardware as necessary, and provide IT related training for internal team members. They will need to be confident in being the face of IT/SysOps and the “go-to” for all front-line IT-related questions and issues from internal team members, and escalate any issues to senior-level team members as needed.
This position should excite someone comfortable with healthy ambiguity who is ready to take ownership of their respective domain, who enjoys collaborating with other team members, and who has a drive for “more”; someone passionate about the work we are doing, and our mission. This position requires an eye for detail, both big and small.
Responsibilities
Work as part of the internal IT/SysOps team to empower employees through administering best-in-class hardware and software tools.
Take ownership of and drive current and future iterations of the IT/SysOps domain: Helpdesk requests, MDM, patching, employee and device lifecycle, etc.
Provide timely technical support for internal users and work with them to solve hardware, software, application, and identity management-related issues.
Manage and maintain EntraID (AzureAD) infrastructure, Sophos Endpoint Protection, Sophos email GW, InTune, Jamf, Microsoft 365, and similar services.
Help educate Virtuous employees about hardware, software, and security best practices.
Create and maintain user guides and documentation to facilitate effective hardware, software, and system usage.
Partner closely with senior-level team members to support security framework compliance and provide audit support related to controls within your domain.
Take initiative to become further educated in relevant systems administration, information technology, and emerging trends.
Available for on-call and/or emergency response and support if/as needed.
You Must Have
Undergraduate Degree in Computer Science, or other IT-related field preferred.
1+ years in Systems Administration, or 3+ years in IT technical support.
Experience supporting Mac devices is a plus.
Experience managing Windows devices via Intune preferred.
Experience with tooling like Notion, Jira, GitHub, HubSpot, Slack, Zoom, Sophos, etc.
Experience with Azure EntraID, Enterprise Apps, SSO, SCIM, and Google Workspace preferred.
Proven track record supporting 100+ employees preferred (experience supporting remote team members a plus).
SaaS experience is a plus.
Live within commuting distance of downtown Phoenix, AZ, and be willing to work in the office at least three days a week (hybrid).
Ability to manage shifting priorities across multiple departments and stakeholders.
Ability to be an independent self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, and works independently with minimal supervision.
A positive, can-do attitude and a high level of patience when assisting and training others.
