OPPORTUNITY OVERVIEW: ATHLETIC COORDINATOR
This position supports the Athletic Department in its delivery of a broad range of sports programs by providing excellent customer service, responding to inquiries in a timely manner for the general public, visitors and other interested parties. The AC will also support registration, tracking and reporting, maintaining the athletics schedule as well as the general up keep and cleanliness of the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assists Athletic or Operations Director in the overall support of administrative and facility operations.
- Provides excellent customer service and administrative support for members, staff, community members, and volunteers.
- Builds community relationships for the benefit of the Club.
- Tracks program registration and payments through MyClubHub
- Manage volunteer coaches and occasionally coach teams
- Manages athletic supplies and inventory
- Processes payments & refunds as needed
- Manages marketing for athletic programs to include email blasts, school flyers, etc
- Table or participate at community events as needed
- Other duties as assigned
RELATIONSHIPS:
Internal: Maintain close, daily contact with club staff (professional and volunteer), club members, and supervisor. Communicate daily to receive/provide information, discuss issues, explain or interpret guidelines/instructions. Collaborate with other clubs as appropriate
External: Maintain contact with external community groups, schools, member’s parents and others as necessary to be successful in position and as directed by club operations director
QUALIFICATIONS, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES:
- Current CPR and First Aid Certifications or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire
- Knowledge and/or experience working with a non-profit youth development agency, Boys & Girls Club experience preferred
- Working knowledge of and experience in sports programming
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- Functional fluency with Microsoft Office Suite
- Strong collaborative approach to internal and external partners
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
- Demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and professionalism in stressful situations
- Works independently, with little direction or supervision
- Maintains strict confidentiality
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, which may include evenings, weekends and/or holidays
- Must have a valid Washington State driver’s license, be willing to travel within Washington State, and have access to reliable transportation
HOURS: Full-time, 40 hours/week. Flexibility is required. Nights and weekends required
LOCATION: Sammamish Boys & Girls Club
PAYRATE: $23.50-$25.50 per hour depending on experience
FLSA: Non-exempt
