The Rapid ReHousing Program Manager position oversees Agate's Family and Single Rapid ReHousing initiatives. This position supervises approximately nine direct service staff. The Rapid ReHousing Program Manager is responsible for ensuring these initiatives are developed and implemented in alignment with best practices and are in compliance with all contractual obligations.
PRIMARY DUTIES AND EXPECTATIONS
- Provide supervision, leadership, and support to the approximately nine staff providing direct services to people experiencing homelessness.
- Provide ongoing supervision and case consultation for staff.
- Conduct regular team meetings that foster mutual support, professional development, and high quality service provision for the team.
- Establish and maintain active working relationships with community partners and funders.
- Represent Agate in meetings with other agencies, businesses, government, funders, and community partners.
- Manage the financial resources of the initiatives within the budget.
- Ensure quality file keeping and case documentation by direct service staff.
- Oversee program reporting, ensuring that programs are on track to meet contractual goals.
- Ensure that services offered are compliant with Federal, State, and County guidelines, and contract requirements.
- Respond to changing community needs, and incorporate best practices throughout the programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS POSITION
Sedentary work - Sitting most of the time with occasional walking and climbing stairs. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally.
Must be able to attend home visits and apartment showings with clients, including units that may only be accessible by climbing stairs
- Experience managing programs and supervising staff
- Ability to develop and implement new programs.
- Ability to oversee several program initiatives involving staff supervision, program evaluation, contract compliance, and budget oversight.
- Ability to model and support staff in establishing rapport quickly with people experiencing a crisis through use of trauma informed care, client centered care, and strengths-based approaches.
- A strong and comprehensive understanding of the Coordinated Entry System in Hennepin County and how each of the programs intersect with that system.
- Ability to supervise staff that are supporting households in accessing and maintaining housing.
- Ability to ensure staff are meeting expectations regarding paperwork and documentation through organizational skills, a strong attention to detail, the ability to work efficiently and accurately, are knowledgeable and proficient using technology and computers.
- Be able to accompany staff on home visits, including to apartments that may only be accessible through climbing stairs.
- Have experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Have valid Driver's License.
- Have access to a safe and reliable vehicle.

- Personal experience with homelessness;
- Experience working, interning, or volunteering with people experiencing homelessness;
- An Associates, Bachelor's, or Master's degree in a relevant field such as Social Work (with accompanying licensure), Human Services, or Family Studies.
a valid Driver's License and pass a driving record background check.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Three or more years' experience supervising staff working with people experiencing homelessness.
- Experience developing and implementing new programs.
- Knowledge of and experience with the homelessness response system in Hennepin County and with HMIS- Minnesota's Homeless Management Information System
- Licensed social worker (LSW, LGSW, or LISW).
- Fluency in languages used by our clients (Spanish, Amharic, Oromo, Somali, ASL).
