Position Profile:
The Worship Director provides oversight and leadership direction for the Worship Arts Ministry at the campus.
They oversee and produce creative Christ-centered worship services and special programs, coordinating all-encompassing service details based on the theme and overall direction established by the Campus Pastor. The Worship Director helps develop and lead the long-term plan for growing the Worship Arts Ministry in all related ministries at the campus in collaboration with the Campus Pastor, and in line with the Church Worship Arts Ministry vision. They are another spiritually mature shepherd to the campus and Church.
Skill Set:
Leadership
- Directorial experience characterized by a commitment to studying and teaching God's Word
- High-capacity servant-leader (character, called to ministry, collaborative, caring, visionary, self-motivated)
- General knowledge of Worship Arts administration (budgeting, Planning Center Online, CCLI, SongSelect, Ministry Platform, Microsoft Office)
High-level relational skills and consensus builder among team members (staff and non-staff)
- Ability to recruit and mentor new staff and volunteers
Adaptable, flexible, and teachable
- Ability to develop and lead the long-term plan for growing Worship Arts in all related ministries (i.e., Kids, Students, Young Adults, etc.)
Musicianship/ Production
- Highly competent musician (preferably guitar/piano and vocals) with a general knowledge of music theory
Experience using multitrack software (Ableton, Prime, Playback) and multi-tracks
General knowledge of production (ProPresenter, audio mixing, lighting, and video streaming systems)
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Provides day to day oversight and leadership direction for the Worship Arts Ministry
- Collaborates with campus leadership in creating, planning, and reviewing creative Christ centered, weekend services, special gatherings, and events via Planning Center Online
- Builds and arranges multi-tracks for weekend services, special gatherings, and events (where applicable)
Develops and maintains the Worship Arts team within a healthy culture
Schedules volunteers via Planning Center Online
Develops and mentors Worship Arts staff/volunteers spiritually and musically/production (through resources, workshops, training, bible studies, etc.)
- Holds regular auditions to identify and recruit new leadership/talent/volunteers
- Participates in leading worship occasionally at the Church events outside the campus (e.g., all-staff meetings, retreats, conferences, etc.)
- Creates and manages the esthetics (including stage designs) of the worship center(s)
- Attends all necessary campus and Central meetings

Musical proficiency, with expertise in playing guitar and/or piano and singing

- Possesses competent general Bible knowledge, specifically in spiritual leadership and demonstrates application of the gospel to daily life
