ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY - MANAGER, SYSTEM ADOPTION
For the last ten years, Medha has delivered a unique experiential learning program to young people.
Based on the Four Cs of 21st-century skills – communications, collaboration, creativity, and critical thinking – the program aims to prepare young people to start and excel in the diverse career paths of their choice.
Constantly upgraded and enhanced, the program has evolved significantly over the last decade, along with changing student and market demands. As we look to the future of learning and work, we are doubling down on the program's transformative impact on young people's lives.
Medhahas a vision of an India with equal career opportunities for youth, irrespective of gender, class, or caste. We believe the most effective way to get 150 million young people into rewarding careers is by collaborating with the government education system. From day one, we chose to exclusively work at existing vocational, technical, and higher education institutions and integrate our programming and approach into the system. Ten years later, this scale path has enabled us to impact over 85,000 students across more than 540 educational institutions in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Haryana. As we expand our System Adoption work to reach 1 million students in the next five years.

You will work with a team of professionals equally driven by Medha's mission and vision.
What You Will Do:
This position requires you to excel in several different domains. Some of the main areas of work include:
Program Planning & Implementation:
- Assist the Program Lead in designing the program plan by providing inputs from the field on all the areas of intervention.
- Implement activities designed under each area of intervention in coordination with the stakeholders at cluster level.
Training Delivery:
- Effectively collaborate with the program team, curriculum & Program Design team to facilitate the workshops and learning solutions on the ground.
- Support Design team in creating content and visuals to catch the attention of the trainees.
- Adapt & deliver training programs to system actors applying adult learning principles in the allotted geographic area.
- Organize training and management of training resources and participants.
- Evaluate training programs as per the defined monitoring and evaluation framework, feedback, and other tools to ensure the learning outcomes of each training session are met.
Improving ITI-Industry Interface:
- In collaboration with the Program Lead, work on onboarding new employers from your districts and map them to available trades in ITIs.
- Survey the industry landscape in your districts and identify relevant trades across industries where demand for jobs is available and which can be mapped to nearby ITIs.
- Support in conducting placement drives for students in ITIs from your districts and ensure active participation from all trainees.
- Work closely with industry partners during the Job training (OJT) of trainees and ensure timely grievance redressal, proper conduct of trainees and ITI faculty, and training on key learning outcomes.
Build & nurture government relationships:
- Ensure regular visits to the colleges and meeting all the stakeholders of the cluster.
- Work closely with ITI Principals across districts assigned to you to align with the program goals and assist them with paperwork, workshops, and documentation for effective program implementation.
- Maintain alignment between program goals and ITI plan of action.
- Effective and proactive communication with ITI officials, which includes Principals, placement officers, ESI, and Trade Instructors.
- Establish a regular cadence of PLC meetings and classroom observation across ITIs from your districts with all data on track.
- Being able to drive implementation of initiatives from HQ and becoming instrumental in ensuring outcomes of capacity building workshops are met, and compliance to processes is adhered to.
- Ensure that program governance meetings are happening, and government officials are actively participating.
Program Communication and Data Management:
- Ensure quality of presentation, documents, and reports of Faculty Training as per Medha guidelines.
- Support in the design of communication collaterals and events as per the needs of the program.
- Readiness in communication collaterals with program data, impact, field stories, and program challenges from nodal colleges of assigned districts.
- Support in conducting program events for faculties and Principals.
- Support in collecting and management of a large-scale database on multiple program components to identify key trends and analysis.
Create opportunities for new interventions and create buy-in:
- Proactively engage with ITI officials and industry partners to identify upcoming challenges, new initiatives, government orders, and any changes that will impact the program positively or negatively in the future.
- Work closely with the program team to have a solid plan to mitigate the risk or devise a new intervention.
- Be open to new ideas and suggestions for designing new programs/programs aligned with Medha's vision for the college.
Effectively coordinate with Internal program teams and senior leadership:
- Seamless communication with the Program manager is essential.
- Any red flags need to be raised immediately with the senior leadership.
What Your Day Might Look Like:
While no two days are the same, some may look like this:
- Meet the college Principals, Faculty and TCPOs to inform about the government orders and seek their support for timely implementation of the key activities.
- Visit other relevant stakeholders in the cluster (like employer, District Magistrate etc.) to seek support in achieving the objective of the program.
- Assist the college in conducting training and placement drives.
- Discuss the daily/weekly plan of action with the Program Lead.

- Strong facilitation, communication & negotiation skills and ability to engage with stakeholders at college and cluster level.
- Strong operational management skills and willing to travel extensively across the state.
- Strong interpersonal skills to establish new partnerships and onboard new employers in the state.
- Strong data management, writing, presentation, and social media management skills.
- Ability to work with multiple teams and functions to ensure all the relevant information is always available.
- Excellent multi-tasking skills.
- Must be a team player and should be ready to deliver at par.
