Essential Job Functions
- Serves as primary point of contact for students eligible to receive veteran benefits; communicates relevant information; and serves as veteran certifying official
- Evaluates the requirements for receipt of veterans benefits and analyzes and monitors enrollment and academic records for each veteran or eligible student; submits re-certification forms to applicable offices, as needed
- Assists students with registration and monitors course work compliance with applicable federal, state and local requirements for financial compensation
- Maintains tuition and fees in federal veteran office database for each student receiving benefits
- Serves as a liaison with internal offices on campus and external agencies in regards to services available to veteran's students and families
- Processes various academic services records including transcripts, enrollment verifications, grade changes and other pertinent records
- Runs end-user reports to facilitate department functions
- Participates in a rotation schedule to staff the first point of service area (e.g. front desk) for visitors and callers
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree
- Experience working in higher education registrar's office, student services or other related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in education, business or a related field of study
- Knowledge of the following systems: Ellucian Banner, Perceptive Document Imaging, AdAstra Schedule and/or DegreeWorks
