Responsibilities:
- Assistant Director will support Director in ensuring that the activities of the EAS Department are consistent with the mission, vision, and values of Catholic Charities, Diocese of Cleveland.
- Will work with Director in continuous assessment and implementation of quality improvement measures for respective Emergency Assistance Services sites (Bishop Cosgrove Center, St. Augustine Hunger Center, St. Elizabeth Center, and Blessed Trinity/Visitation of Mary).
- Assistant Director may occasionally provide directives to improve operational efficiencies throughout various sites.
- Will work with Director to promote service integration, diminish duplication of services, and ensure quality of care and implementation of best practices to drive impact in each community.
- Will assist the Director in building partnerships and serve as a link between community partners working towards identifying and addressing immediate needs represented in the community. This person may attend continuum of care and other community meetings.
- Will work closely with Director in helping to monitor fiscal performance, data management and help to address and resolve facilities and staffing related matters.
- Will work with Director and Organizational Development Specialist to assign and link volunteers with service opportunities.

Requirements:
- Combination of education and experience normally represented by a Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Urban Studies, or Public Administration or closely related field; with 2-3 years of experience working in basic social
- Must have the ability to relate to wide variety of people, including professional, volunteers and consumers; as well as represent the organization to outside organizations and
- Must have excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills including conflict management.
- Must have a proficient knowledge of computers and Microsoft Office
- Must have excellent organizational skills with the ability to work on multiple tasks, strong detail orientation and the ability to maintain
- Must be able to work independently from general
- Must have 1-2 years general fiscal and administrative
- Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and reliable means of transportation for local
- Due to the nature of the work, fingerprinting is required to complete background
