Basic Function:
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented IT Data Analyst to join our team and play a key role in supporting our Avatar EHR system. This is an on-site position located in Cleveland Ohio. The role requires a combination of technical experience in data analysis, report writing tools, and a passion for making data-driven decisions. As an essential member of the IT department, you will be responsible for analyzing, configuring, troubleshooting, and optimizing the EHR system to ensure it meets the needs of our clinicians and staff. You will work closely with various stakeholders, including IT staff, prescribers, and implementation specialists, to ensure smooth operation and optimal functionality of the system.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement system customizations to meet specific user needs and workflows.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Avatar EHR.
- Maintain and update Avatar EHR system according to best practices and industry standards.
- Stay up to date on the latest Avatar EHR updates and releases.
- Manage user accounts and access permissions within the Avatar EHR system
- Create and maintain system documentation, including user guides and training materials
- Monitor system performance and identify potential issues before they impact users.
- Collaborate with the IT team to ensure integration with other systems and applications.
- Provide clear and concise communication to all stakeholders regarding system updates, issues, and solutions.
- Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities to stay current on Avatar EHR and healthcare IT best practices.
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other duties may be assigned.
- Extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from Avatar EHR and other relevant sources.
- Design and develop insightful reports and dashboards using Crystal Reports and Power BI.
- Analyze healthcare data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for improvementTranslate complex data into easily understandable insights for various stakeholders (clinicians, administrators, executives).
- Support ad-hoc reporting requests and troubleshoot data-related issues.
- Stay up to date on the latest healthcare data trends and technologies.
- Participate in data governance initiatives and ensure data quality.
- Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams (IT, clinicians, leadership).
Normal office environment:
- A bachelor’s degree in computer science, or equivalent experience.
- Two (2) or more years of experience as a Data Analyst or similar role.
- Proficient in SQL and comfortable working with healthcare data.
- Experience in report writing tools such as Crystal Reports and Power BI.
- Must have demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Culturally aware including a high level of interpersonal skills.
- Ability to interface with all levels of staff in a professional manner.
- Organizational, communication and problem-solving skills, along with attentiveness to detail are essential.
- Self-starter and a strong team player who is flexible with a positive “can-do” attitude.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
- Demonstrated ability to function independently, multi-task, and re-align priorities as needed.
- Must have the ability to access, interface and use a computer.
- Must have a valid Ohio Driver’s License and reliable means of transportation for local travel.
- Frequent walking, sitting, talking, standing, listening/hearing in working with employees and supervisors and managers.
- High degree of concentration for analyzing, interpreting and organizing data.
- This is an on-site position located in Cleveland Ohio.
