Summary: Manages the planning, development, and implementation of all parish outreach strategies for the Catholic Charities, St. Peter- St. Joseph’s Children’s Home and Seton Home. Creates new engagement opportunities in the parish community and with other faith-based organizations. Increases engagement and knowledge of Catholic Charities’ work with existing stakeholders in the community while creating new relationships. Supports fundraising efforts, program promotion, and volunteer engagement of the agency. Manages Jesuit Volunteers, Seminarians, and Deacons assigned to Catholic Charities family. Promotes and manages the Project Rachel program. Assists with distribution of direct assistance funds through the Parish Support Line.
Position Responsibilities:
· *Works with the Mission Advancement Chief Development Officer and Marketing Director to develop a comprehensive community marketing, communications, and public relations program for parish outreach.
· *Enhances Catholic Charities’ image and position among stakeholders, donors, places of worship and the public through social media and other communication channels.
· *Promotes Catholic Charities programs and services throughout the Archdiocese of San Antonio.
*Creates, implement, and measures the success of parish and community outreach efforts.
· *Meets regularly with parish pastors, staff, ministries, committees and commissions to learn specifics of the parish ministries and how Catholic Charities can support and partner with community parishes.
· *Keeps parishes informed of resources available to parishioners through Catholic Charities.
· *Assists in distribution of Parish Outreach direct assistance funds through the Parish Support Line.
· *Provides mass and faith-based support to priests celebrating mass, coordinates sacramental support, and provides prayer/blessings at Catholic Charities facilities and events.
· *Works with clergy and/or women religious to provide spiritual or volunteer support to Catholic Charities programs, services, and crisis response.
· *Connects Catholic Charities program directors and staff with local parishes within the Archdiocese of
San Antonio.
· *Presents Catholic Charities programs at parish events and meetings, such as weekend Masses, Parish Council meetings and other opportunities to promote the benefits of participating in the programs offered by the agency.
· Other duties as assigned by the Chief Development Officer in support of Mission Advancement activities.

Minimum Qualifications:
- Education
- Experience
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in mission driven outreach.
- Minimum of 2 years of faith-based experience.
- Experience in deadline driven environments.
- License and Credentials
- Reliable transportation
- Valid driver license
- Valid vehicle insurance
- Must have clean driving record
Minimum Knowledge and Skills:
- Extensive working knowledge of Catholic Social teaching and parish protocols.
- Knowledge of Catholic Mass essentials and spiritual care
- Experience with computer software including Microsoft Office Suite
- A solid grasp budgetary process.
- Must have good written and verbal skills.
- Must have good critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
- Must be able to work well independently and in a team environment.
- Must be able to handle multiple assignments at once.
- Must be able to meet deadlines.
- Must possess the ability to be detail oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
Travel Requirements:
Travel requirements for the position includes 90% local and 10% overnight.
