Job Title: Site Coordinator – Part Time
Reports To: Customer Service Manager

Job Purpose
The Site Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the dining room and kitchen at the site. The employee is also responsible for maintaining positive community relations and ongoing communication with the Customer Service Manager or HDM/Site Manager.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Act as a concierge to seniors, guests, and volunteers in the dining room.
• Assists in serving hot meals to seniors, greeting participants, working with volunteers, and pre/post kitchen clean-up.
• Communicates with staff and volunteers and provides daily guidance for site processes and procedure.
• Submits daily communication forms and prepares accurate and timely reports related to meals served, donations, and volunteer hours, if applicable.
• Takes and maintains temperature control standards at delivery and time of service. Document all undelivered food immediately, return deliverable foods to the proper storage area, and dispose of unsafe foods, only if advised.
• Responsible for the proper processing and handling of meal donations to Accounting according to Serving Seniors’ policy guidelines.
• Practices safe operating procedures and food handling procedures while observing all local, state, and federal safety regulations and Serving Seniors’ protocols.
• Provides staff support to congregate sites in the absence of the Customer Service Manager or HDM/Site Manager.
• Assists, supports and communicates with volunteers and delivery drivers daily.
• Provides regular social contact with participants in the congregate and to-go meal programs to promote wellness and socialization.
• Reports any staff, participant and/or volunteer-related injury/emergency to supervisor or Senior Director of Nutrition immediately. Incident report to be completed same day when injury/emergency occurs.
• Completes APS referrals when needed as required by being a mandated reporter.
• Attends staff meetings and training sessions as required.
• Desire to make a difference in the lives of seniors.
• Responsible for distributing the monthly menus.
• Conducts nutrition education and/or works with other team members to ensure all nutrition education objectives are met.
• Support outreach efforts to promote program services in the community.
• Imports data into the Q county database: intakes, contributions, etc.
• Ensure all appropriate policies and procedures are followed.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education
· High school diploma or equivalent
· Food Handler Certification
Experience
• 1-2 years’ experience working in a kitchen preferred

• Superior customer service skills, including the identification of customer needs and follow-up to ensure those needs have been met.
• Ability to develop professional, cooperative working relationships with participants, participants' family, other employees, and volunteers.

• Ability to work with challenging clients and provide positive outcomes.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
• Onsite position
• Position is regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and move up to 20 pounds.
Starting Pay range : $18 per hr
