Main Campus Event and Logistics Coordinator
Purpose: The Main Campus Event and Logistics Coordinator plans and manages aspects of The Global Leadership Summit on the South Barrington campus, helping create a world-class learning environment for our guests by supporting the coordination of details including guest registration, check-in, lunches, signage, support managing the special experiences and other logistic details. This role supports the Director of Live Experience. Required dates of work include June 3rd through the week of the GLS, August 5th 9th, 2024.
Global Leadership Network (GLN) is a nonprofit organization located in South Barrington, Illinois. Our purpose is to introduce more people to Jesus and fully follow Him. We accomplish this by serving pastors and equipping churches to inspire Kingdom-oriented leaders around the world through the Global Leadership Summit and other leadership development resources.
The Global Leadership Summit is attended by 60,000+ leaders in 400 sites (primarily churches) throughout the United States. The Summit is translated into 50+ languages and held in over 800 sites in 110 countries reaching over 240,000 international leaders from September to April.
Hybrid Work Schedule: This position currently has a hybrid schedule which includes working in the office Tuesday through Thursday for two scheduled Core Weeks each month and the option to work from home or in the office on Mondays, Fridays, and Tuesday through Thursdays during non-Core Weeks. In-person days will increase during the weeks leading into the event and during Summit week at the South Barrington campus. Our regular workdays and office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm CT with 30 minutes for lunch. We will most likely spend the whole of July in the office.

Reports to: Director of Live Experience
Position Requirements: Applicant must be ready to work in a fast-passed environment and is able to be calm under pressure. Flexibility to add or adjust projects as needed to plan the event. Required dates of work include Volunteer Training on Saturday August 3rd 2024 and the week of the GLS, August 5th 9th, 2024. There is some flexibility for other dates during the summer. There will be two Wednesday night volunteer leader meetings that will be recommended to attend with flex time those weeks.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Attend and support event resume meetings and perform follow-up tasks as assigned
- Assist in aligning with the International Team planning and International meetings prior to the GLS
- Work with and manage lunch vendors/food trucks
- Inventory and order supplies for use during the event (radios, tablecloths, signs, etc.)
- Assist in communication with vendors, remote parking locations, WCCC and GLN departments.
- Manage proper distribution and allocation of meals for staff in alignment with HR.
- Coordinate and work together as needed with other Interns
- Support Director of Live Experience with additional tasks related to guest experience
- Support guest engagement during high call volume dates and as needed
- Perform other duties as assigned
- Complete other related duties as assigned.
- Actively participate in one-on-one meetings with manager, team meetings, all-staff meetings, and cross-functional meetings, as needed.
