This individual will be working with individuals with behavioral disorders in coordination with Mercy Centre management and staff within the Employment, Community Based Day Services (CBDS) and Day Habilitation programs. This position works with individuals with autism spectrum disorder, pervasive developmental disorders or severe behavioral problems, but may also help with adults with one or more other diagnosed developmental or cognitive/intellectual disabilities.

Requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in behavioral science or related field such as psychology, social work, human services, rehabilitation, education or applied behavior analysis and at least two years’ experience working with the developmental disabilities populace and writing behavior plans. Additional requirements include a knowledge of computer technology to include Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets, demonstrated ability to manage complex behavioral issues, a strong knowledge of DDS Human Rights regulations and exceptional interpersonal, communication skills with empathy and personal integrity skills.
