Chief Financial
Officer
Overview:
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Chief
Financial Officer (CFO) to join a reputable nonprofit organization dedicated to
making a positive impact in the Naples, FL community. The ideal candidate will
possess a strong financial background, exceptional leadership skills, and a
deep commitment to a philanthropic mission. As the CFO, you will play a crucial
role in guiding our financial strategy, ensuring fiscal responsibility, and
contributing to the overall success of the organization.
Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic financial guidance to the
executive team and board of directors.
- Develop and implement financial policies,
procedures, and controls to safeguard the organization's assets.
- Oversee budgeting, forecasting, and financial
planning processes.
- Conduct comprehensive financial analysis to
support decision-making processes.
- Prepare and present financial reports to the
board, executive leadership, and relevant committees.
- Identify and assess financial risks, proposing
and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
and reporting.
- Manage cash flow, investments, and financial
resources efficiently.
- Implement strategies to optimize working capital
and liquidity.
- Ensure compliance with accounting standards and
legal requirements.
- Oversee financial aspects of grant applications,
reporting, and compliance.
- Collaborate with program managers to align
financial strategies with grant requirements.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering a
culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Provide training and support to staff on
financial matters.
- Collaborate with external stakeholders, donors,
and partners on financial matters.
- Participate in fundraising activities and
contribute to donor relations.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a
related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
- Proven experience as a CFO or in a senior
financial management role within the nonprofit sector.
- Strong understanding of nonprofit financial
regulations and compliance.
- Excellent analytical and strategic thinking
skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal
abilities.
- Experience working with diverse funding sources,
including grants and donations.
- Proficiency in financial management software and
Microsoft Office Suite.
