The Coordinator, Center Operations and Programs is responsible for assisting with the with the day-to-day operations, programs, events and activities and supporting tasks related to administration and the center�s volunteer program.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities (*Essential Duties)
- Answer and screen incoming telephone calls. Review and respond to email; resolve routine questions and problems; greet visitors.*
- Serve as main point of contact with regard to collection, maintenance and organization of volunteer service records, including contact information, hours worked and formal/informal volunteer recognition. Provide training and guidance to volunteers, peers and management related to volunteer management system capabilities and their proper use.*
- Serve as main point of contact with regards to collection, maintenance and organization of USO Vendors records, including contact information, documents, access list and all other vendor paperwork.*
- Supervise volunteers during assigned shift, ensuring that quality customer service and support is provided and staffing levels are consistent with service delivery standards.*
- Assist with coordination of USO programs and events, including but not limited to Center operation and outreach programs located on and off US military instillations, creation of flyers, posters and calendars.
- Perform clerical duties, including but not limited to monitoring inventory and supplies, preparing document and reports, entering hotel vouchers, the USO Center reservations calendar, and filing.*
- Complete financial transactions as directed.*

Job Specifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent. Bachelor�s Degree preferred.
- 0-2 years work experience in an administrative support/clerical role. Relevant experience in a not-for-profit, military, multicultural and/or global organization preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills. Ability to interact with USO Leadership, the general public and military audiences at a variety of levels with integrity and professionalism.
- Proficiency using computers and electronics equipment. General knowledge of various software, applications, and programs including but not limited to Microsoft Office Suite.
- Demonstrated ability to exercise sound judgment related to controversial and/or culturally sensitive subjects. Ability to handle confidential information with tact and poise.
- General knowledge of safe food handling and storage practices.
- Must be punctual, organized and self-motivated, with the ability to quickly and easily adapt to changing organizational needs.
- Ability to achieve desired results while working collaboratively in a team environment.
- Ability to perform basic math and follow proper cash/donation handling and reporting procedures.
- Ability to obtain and maintain proper credentials necessary to access USO Center locations and facilities including but not limited to security, credit and/or background screening, SOFA status, valid driver�s license.
- Must be a strong advocate of the USO�s mission.

- This is a part-time position is located in McCrady Training Center in Easton, SC. Preference will be given to local candidates within commuting distance to the location.
