JOB SUMMARY:
Provides assistance with supervision and leadership in coordination with Senior Director of Immigration and Refugee Assistance Program. Responsible for routine collaboration with IRAP Senior Director to review reporting, budgets, and grant deliverables obtained from supervisors directly responsible for assigned programs/services and plans for program sustainability, expansion and development.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Exemplify Catholic Charities' mission, vision, guiding principles and policies and procedures
- Promote and reinforce client-centered, strengths-based, solution-focused trauma-informed care in the context of systems. Cultivate a culture of sensitivity, cultural humility and respect for diversity
- Communicate, promote and monitor department's integrity and ethical performance, consistent with the Catholic Charities' Corporate Compliance Program, Code of Ethics, legal mandates & labor laws, managing contractual/funder regulations and accreditation standards, regulations and policies and procedures (e.g. COA, BBB)
- Assist IRAP Senior Director in developing, implementing and enforcing uniform department procedures to ensure effective fiscal performance, including accountability of program supervisors to routinely review financial decisions and practices to keep program within approved budgets and make fiscally informed decisions regarding program and personnel patterns/assignments
- Lead and mentor IRAP supervisors in departmental strategic planning (including program development, staffing patterns & personnel performance), evaluating quality performance and risk concerns, and continuous improvement of (via short-term and long-term service delivery initiatives and strategies) internal systems/procedures & fiscally sound practices to yield effective, efficient and quality service
- Assist IRAP Senior Director with cultivating and expanding strategic, strong & resilient relationships with key stakeholders, service and funding partners to ensure effective service coordination & collaborative solution-building, as well as to identify, explore and develop opportunities to enhance, market, and expand existing services and programs throughout WNY
- Assist in investigating and resolving untoward incidents and service/program complaints
- of supervisors; maintain performance accountability and implement corrective supervisory action as warranted
- Including remaining up to date with refugee verifications.
- Facilitate and participate in quarterly QCC meeting with refugee partner agencies.
- Support communication and data flow between teams within the department.
- Represent Catholic Charities of Buffalo and IRAP at community and professional committees, meetings and events; actively participate on CCB committees (Safety committee, Risk Prevention Management etc) and in agency-sponsored events and Diocese-sponsored events.
- Perform other duties as requested by Department Senior Director.
- Complies with the Agency's Compliance Program, Code of Ethics, laws, regulations, and ethical standards applicable to your job duties.
- Adheres to all applicable federal and state laws and regulations including, but not limited to those governing confidentiality, privacy, program, billing and documentation standards. All duties must be performed in accordance with CCB's corporate compliance and ethics program.
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- At least five years' of leadership experience in a social service setting with knowledge of refugee and immigrant context
- At least two years of administrative leadership experience with fiscally-informed programmatic decision-making experience and budget preparation & monitoring responsibilities
ADDITIONAL EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
- Evidence of exceptional interpersonal and communication (oral and written) skills .
- Demonstrated effectiveness with leading teams and engaging with cross-functional leadership.
- Demonstrated flexibility, initiative, innovative, to ability to work independently and efficiently (effective organizational and time management skills), produce results, meet deadlines and perform other duties as requested by Department Senior Director.
- In-depth familiarity with WNY community resources and continuum of immigrant and refugee systems, organizations and resources.
- Fluent in various computer applications (e.g. Word, Excel) and electronic database systems; experience with graphic reporting applications preferred.

- Must be prepared to work a flexible schedule in order to participate in agency-related activities/events that may take place outside of typical business hours.
