Peckham Inc. - Facilities Project Coordinator
SUMMARY
The Facilities Project Coordinator will work closely with the Facilities Manager in serving as a project leader for small to medium-sized projects to improve safe, environmentally sustainable and productive work environments. This position works with design and contractor support to adhere to Peckham Universal Design Standards and maintains the look of the Peckham brand across all locations.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Serves to create and maintain solutions to enhance and preserve effective work environments.
- Coordinates with multiple departments for continual space improvement needs
- Creates and coordinates site enhancements at all sites and establishes active travel to all sites as needed
- Responsible for the overall execution of the project, including design, budget, and schedule
- Projects are short to medium in duration and small to medium in budget
- Performs responsible administrative and professional work of a complex nature including supporting the ideation, development, implementation, and evaluation of projects
- Includes support the start-up of new projects and managing of projects of significant internal and external and external involvement
- While utilizing the facilities service request system and project management tools, coordinate internal technicians and external contractors to complete projects on time and on budget while adhering to Peckham Building Standards
- Assist managing the Facilities Service Request system, including receiving requests, assigning service requests, entering data and striving to meet the Teams SLA’s
- Works to accomplish service requests and assigned projects according to the service request system.
- Understands and supports Peckham Building Standards and ensures these standards are met
- Respond to all building systems according to Facilities SLA’s and the Emergency Response and Preparedness Plan
- Maintains effective working relationships with operations, tenants, and all facility users
- Maintains effective working relationships with vendors and creates and maintains emergency response support with them
- Assists in the coordination and communication of building owner responsibilities
- Clearly understands and supports Tenant and Building Owner responsibilities
- Coordinates and maintains waste and recycling management efforts
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in management of inventory and asset system.
- Assist in the execution of projects by using hand tools and power tools, general trades equipment, and a full understanding of building contruction
- Assist in the establishment and execution of projects by utilizing project management software, CAD & REVIT software, and other software systems
- Use tools ranging from common hand and power tools such as hammers, hoist, saws, drills and wrenches, precision measuring instruments and electrical and electronic testing devises
- Maintain safe and clean work environment.
- Record type and cost maintenance or repair work.
- Promote Peckham’s vision values and services to all customers and stakeholders
- Assist in maintaining organizational wide quality standards
- Other duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position has supervisory responsibility for both staff and team members.
- Develop a unified team that reflects Peckham’s culture and values
- Provide mentorship and coaching
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Five years of experience working in commercial construction, facilities, or other related experience
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, discretion and good judgement when dealing with sensitive situations, strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work alone or with a team.
- An ability to prioritize and manage expectations
- A strong understanding of general computer skills including project management tools related to MS Project and Excel
- This position requires passing and maintaining federal and state security background checks.
- This position requires a Forklift/Scissor and Chauffer's License, but may be acquired after hire.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, maintenance instructions and procedural manuals.
- Ability to speak effectively before groups and communicate effectively to others.
- Ability to compute units of measure, rate, percentage and interpret graphs.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in related field.
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS
- The employee must frequently lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include color vision.
- Must be able to access and navigate Peckham facilities.
