Peckham Inc. - Client Support Specialist
POSITION SUMMARY
The Client Services Support Staff is responsible for directly assisting clients and staff in Peckham’s Community Employment programs at Capital Area Michigan Works! by providing support to the general public with job search and resume assistance.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provide customer support to the general public and program participants at Capital Area Michigan Works! in person and virtually, including: job search and resume assistance.
- Answer telephones and provide program related information to customers/clients, including program eligibility information and program requirements.
OTHER DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Complete financial tasks including writing checks, making credit card payments, credit card reconciliation, and budget tracking.
- Contact clients who have exited the program to maintain follow-up support.
- Document client follow-up conversations and inform Career Coaches of status changes.
- Schedule and confirm program related appointments.
- Enter client information in the OSMIS information system.
- Audit files regularly, manage long-term file storage, and file purging.
- Transport clients as needed.
- Set-up, proctor, and record assessment tests and results.
- Schedule and monitor appointments for Clothing boutique.
- Generate program management reports utilizing the One-Step Management Information System (OSMIS).
- Support program managers with requests for information/audits.
- Maintain program spreadsheets.
- Provide administrative support to Program Managers and Career Coaches.
- Assist with coordinating events and team activities.
- Support outcome measures, key indicators, and other Peckham goals and reports.
- Utilize a teamwork approach for all projects.
- Promote Peckham’s vision, values, and services to all customers and stakeholders.
- Assist in maintaining organization wide quality standards.
- Assist in the training of people with disabilities.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
- Other related duties as assigned
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Above average typing skills and knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access) are required.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Customer Service experience.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Associate’s degree in a related field preferred; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
