Title: Head of Texas
Manager: Head of Next Practice & Inclusive Growth
Location: Dallas, TX
Compensation: $150,000 base, $25,000 bonus

Based in Texas and reporting to the Head of Next Practice and Inclusive Growth, you will develop and implement strategies for building high-value relationships in Texas that deliver on our ecosystem priorities, enhance the leadership and visibility of MassChallenge across Texas leading to grant, philanthropic or corporate funding.
What You�ll Do
Executive Lead Generation, Engagement, Stewardship

Drive leads for individual giving and corporate development
-
Build strong allegiance to MassChallenge over long-term horizon

Generate leads and legitimacy particularly in support of the growth of MC Big Bets
-
Build net new relationships with ecosystem leaders and, in coordination with development, grant funders in already identified MassChallenge expansion areas

Convene and connect executives to generate leads and legitimacy in new spaces for MC (examples: BlueTech, Human Potential)

Support the Partnerships team in consulting with existing partners on their integration into a local ecosystem including but not limited to Texas markets
Support Corporate Development, Innovation and Programing teams on the evolution of programs and offerings that lead to sustainable revenue generation

Collect and report on feedback and data to add strategic insights in support of revenue generation across MC

Analyze, assess and report out on data to inform the regional relevancy strategy of markets across Texas to identify and nurture their unique and differentiated strengths
Support Regional Competitiveness/Public Private Partnerships

Manage TX state and local governments relationship; Ensure gov�t staying informed, connected, and supportive through planned connections

Represent MC on key working groups or like to ensure MC is visibly and meaningfully contributing to local ecosystem development, consistent with our local commitments

Support acquisition of place-based funding targeted to economic development organizations and local governments

Support and/or Coordinate on reporting requirements related to Texas-specific grants
Ensure excellence in delivery and experience for Texas-Funders

Senior liaison on Texas-specific funding

Lead on ecosystem-specific deliverables such as stakeholder convenings, workshops and the like

Coordination with Program and Community to ensure MC delivers against Texas commitments
Support acquisition of funding

Individual Donors

Set strategy and support successful execution against revenue requirements for all TX based grants and match requirements

Coordinate with Development and Corporate Development to support both acquisition, stewardship and renewal as �expert� or �lead�

Manage and nurture MC advocates in Texas on an individual and advisory board level(e.g., Local champions, TX Advisory Board, Community Foundations, City Government leaders etc.)
Who You Are

You are a motivational and engaging leader with 5+ years of leadership experience. You have proven skills in leading a team, task follow-through, and fostering a strong team spirit. You must be capable of leading team members across different departments.

You understand Dallas, the culture, the opportunities, the challenges, the industry direction, and the economics.

You have excellent communication, speaking, and writing skills. You are a great speaker yourself, inspiring people with your knowledge and style.

You have the ability to connect and engage with stakeholders at varying levels. You can influence people intelligently by understanding their agendas and identifying how the organization can appropriately respond to those agendas.

You have the ability to leverage existing relationships in the Dallas business community and also to generate leads for the partnerships team.

Compensation

Salary is based on a nonprofit scale and commensurate with skills and experience.

For this position, we are offering a base salary of $150,000 with a bonus potential of $25,000.

Internal equity considerations and the average salary of the peer range will be reviewed before making a final offer.
