In this pivotal role, you
will spearhead Lend a Hand India's key initiative to integrate vocational
education with mainstream education for grades 9 through 12. You will focus on
managing and coordinating the vocational education projects under the 'Samagra
Shiksha' scheme, directly contributing to shaping young minds with an
entrepreneurial mindset and preparing them for real-world challenges. This role
involves developing strategic roadmaps, overseeing project execution, and
ensuring effective collaboration with various stakeholders, including
government agencies and educational institutions. You will be instrumental in
driving the mission to universalize vocational education and enhance the
youth's labour dignity, overseeing projects that impact over a million students
across India.
Responsibilities
· Liaise with Samagra Shiksha
officials for planning, execution, and monitoring of vocational education
activities.
· Prepare and manage official
documentation, including letters, proposals, and presentations.
· Develop and implement
monitoring strategies for timely program execution.
· Lead data collection and
reporting efforts to facilitate data-driven decision-making.
· Manage to budget and
planning for various components of vocational education.
· Organize and lead meetings
and events with multiple stakeholders.
· Ensure seamless
implementation of vocational education schemes in collaboration with government
officials.
· Coordinate with state
departments and external parties like NSDC, Sector Skill Councils, and
Vocational Training Providers.
· Establish industry linkages
and advocate for skill development initiatives.
· Stay updated with
government schemes and programs related to skill development.
· Collaborate with teams
across states to share learnings and best practices.
· Develop strategic roadmaps
to expand Lend-a-Hand India's presence and operations.
Requirements
Desired Education and Experience:
- Masters in Social Work, Public Policy, Management, or related fields.
- At least 6-8 years of experience in skill development, government project implementation, or similar roles.
- Experience with government agencies and senior management.
Process Competency:
- Fluency in Marathi and English.
- Proficiency in computer applications (PowerPoint, Word, Excel).
- Experience in using and managing MIS systems.
Behavioural Competency:
- Strong skills in relationship building.
