About the Role
The purpose of this role is to work in partnership with executive, managers and employees across the organisation to develop and support people strategies and solutions that support our services. Through the consistency and application of people management advice and solutions, the People & Culture Advisor’s tasks relate to people management, supporting the performance of people across the business and promoting a healthy and vibrant culture. A key part of this role is to provide coaching and development support to others to improve their leadership and staff engagement capability, ensuring modern people management tools and contemporary processes are in place.
This will be offered on a full-time basis, on a 12-month fixed term contract as this is providing Parental Leave cover and is based at our Midland location.
As a People and Culture Advisor, your duties and responsibilities will be:
- Hands-on HR generalist support for operational staff in all aspects of day-to-day management of people across the organisation in areas such as talent management and recruitment, performance development, performance management, training, and development.
- Work with P&C Manager to implement P&C operational plan and identified human resource projects
- Manage end to end recruitment, onboarding and socialisation of staff in conjunction with hiring managers
- Manage offboarding of staff and exit interviews
- Strong ER background to support provision of generalist HR / ER advice and problem solving.
In order to be successful for this role, the applicant will have:
- Tertiary qualification in Human Resource Management.
- Experience providing generalist advice to a diverse workforce.
- Highly developed analytical, conceptual and problem-solving skills, with proven ability to proactively formulate and recommend strategies to enhance operational activities.
- Highly developed interpersonal communication skills and emotional intelligence with the ability to liaise effectively and professionally with a range of key stakeholders.
- Highly developed conflict resolution and negotiation skills.
