Program Statement:
Camp Happiness is a six-week summer day camp program providing social, recreational and educational services to children and young adults of all abilities, including those with intellectual developmental disabilities (IDD).
What you will do:
- Plan and lead day-to-day operations of camp site including creating and maintaining an engaging schedule
- Ensure the safety of all campers and staff
- Communicate effectively with staff, campers, parents and camp administration
- Maintain appropriate programming by evaluating both campers and staff
- Provide direction, encouragement and support for the camp staff to develop their skills
- Supervise and assist staff in their planning of activities and community outings
- Swim (recreational) with campers
