Position Summary:
The Resettlement Manager (RM) works under the direction of the Resettlement Director (RD) to manage and monitor refugee resettlement services and case management activities relating to the Reception and Placement Program (R&P). This person is fiscally responsible for all USCCB Vouchers and keeping track of spending down funding received from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. This role is also responsible for supervising R&P Case Managers and the Case Aide team.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Oversee and monitor work performed by the Case Aide and R&P Case Management teams.
- Monitor and ensure that all core services to clients are completed within their respective timeframes.
- Review caseload and assign equitable cases to R&P Case Managers.
- Verify and accept new cases that are placed on U.S Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) site to be resettled with CCSN.
- Communicate regularly with the pre-arrival team of USCCB/MRS to coordinate arrivals of refugees.
- Schedule appointments to meet with clients’ family/friend ties to discuss resettlement responsibilities and complete Anchor Relative/Friend Assessment Form.
- Track arrival information and coordinate new arrivals to the R&P unit.
- Review R&P Period Reports and submit in a timely manner.
- Assists in completing quarterly R&P reports.
- Conduct routine case file reviews and home visits to ensure all core services have been met.
- Responsible for managing USCCB financial vouchers and submitting in USCCB’s MRIS.
- Responsible for keeping track of spending down funding received from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints.
- Collaborate and communicate with management team to ensure that staff are working together effectively to provide quality services for the clients.
- Recognize and communicate concerns or issues to the RD in a professional and timely manner.
- Manage R&P staff including hiring, completing performance reviews and disciplinary actions when needed.
- Provide professional development and support to direct reports, including individual coaching, mentoring, performance improvement, and goal-setting.
- Supervise and train staff, volunteers and student interns.
- Assist in the completion of routine reports sent to federal funders.
- Create and update program policies and procedures as needed.
- Follow agency and program policies and procedures.
- Protect all confidential information, agency property and electronic data.
- Other related duties as directed.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Demonstrate good communication skills to successfully collaborate with colleagues, volunteers, co-sponsors, service providers and grantors.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment and with individuals with very limited English speaking abilities.
- Possess a team building capacity, good organizational skills and ability to delegate tasks and duties to the case management team.
- Strong skills in dealing with difficult and challenging personalities and situations.
- Flexibility with work schedule to adapt to deadlines and demands from funding sources including unanticipated arrivals, issues and concerns.
- Ability to accept responsibilities, follow or exceed organizational standards.
- Ability to manage competing demands and use time effectively.
- Proficiency in a refugees’ language is desired, but not required.
- Knowledge of community resources available to refugee population in Las Vegas.
- Experience in data collection and data management preferred.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Social Service Field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of three years’ case management experience.
- Prior management experience is required.
- Flexible schedule to work after hours and weekends, as necessary.
- Must be at least 25 years old, a valid Driver’s License with current minimum Nevada state required auto insurance.

- Primarily works in office environment, but will also work throughout the agency and off site.
- Ability to communicate with clients, agency partners, funders and co-workers.
- Ability to operate and use office equipment, especially computer, keyboard and mouse.
- Ability to continuously sit and/or stand. Ability to climb stairs as needed.
- Ability to drive, including entering and exiting vehicle as required.
- May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
