Client Information- A nonprofit that provides a home for homeless youth transitioning to adulthood.
Position Summary
House Mentor is responsible for providing supervision and oversight to residents residing in their home.
Major Responsibilities

Provide direct resident care within a safe and therapeutic environment.Will conduct domestic life-skills training through individual and group planned activities and programming.
·Act as an advocate, educator, mentor, and role model for residents 17-22 years old.
·Attending employee continuing education classes/meetings.
·Discuss needs, progress and concerns with residents.
·Maintain all necessary documentation, record keeping, etc.
·Responsible for managing timelines, scheduling, and coordinating stakeholders(s).
·Must live in resident and follow the same curfew as residents.Time management and attention to detail are important.
·Must be comfortable with maintaining appropriate boundaries and setting limits in working with residents and facilitate resolution of disagreements among residents.
Requirements
Any combination of education and experience that provides the knowledge, skills, and ability to perform duties of this position.Associate degree in Human Services or Bachelors in Social Work a plus.
3 years of experience working with youth and or families or at-risk population’s.
Above average written and verbal communication; excellent listening skills.Attention to detail.
Average Microsoft Office Suite skills (Word, Excel, PP, Outlook).
Work effectively with internal and external individuals; including other professionals in the community; engagement via electronic media.
Integrity and a positive attitude; self-starter demonstrating initiative while effectively adapting to change.
Knowledge of or readiness to learn about Trauma-Informed Care and Healing Centered Engagement, etc. implement best practices.
Hours: TBD
Starting pay $36,000 annually, free room and board, 4 weeks and 8 weekends of paid vacation, health insurance, and free bi-weekly talk therapy.
