Essential Job Functions
- Leads data collection and analysis related to career and experiential learning assessment, graduate career outcomes, and alumni career progression and other academic initiatives
- Develops, administers and analyzes surveys related to career and experiential learning and benchmarks national data for comparison to university data
- Integrates, extracts and analyzes data from multiple university data systems and external sources to complete regular reporting and projects and various ad hoc data requests and analyses
- Develops data visualizations, dashboards, detailed reports and summaries to present to department and university stakeholders
- Coordinates with university departments on the identification and collection of data
- Consults with academic departments on data needs related to measuring initiatives
- Acts as a liaison between the Provost Office and Institutional Research
- Conducts quantitative and qualitative data analysis to support strategic decision making
- Identifies and implements data and reporting process improvements
- Prepares and maintains documentation for data collection and reporting
- Participates in the development of universitywide standardized data practices to maintain data accuracy, security, and integrity and maintain and organize comprehensive documentation for data management, analysis, and reporting activities
- Troubleshoots data and reporting issues
- Monitors new developments and trends in data analysis and presentation, as well as new studies and reports, related to higher education institutional effectiveness
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a bachelor's degree (Eligible bachelor degree candidates are invited to apply if their degree will be completed by June 2024.)
- Moderate amount of experience working in data collection, analysis and reporting or other related experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in information management, data management, data analytics or a related field of study
- Experience with SQL, Tableau, Excel, SPSS and Qualtrics
