Sentara is hiring a Registered Neurodiagnostic/ EEG Tech for Sentara Norfolk General Hospital's Epilepsy Program, in Norfolk, Virginia.
Hours/Shift:
Flexi (one 12-hour shift per week)
REQUIREMENTS:
- 2 years experience working in the Epilepsy Monitoring Unit
- Registered Electroencephalograph Tech (EEG) required
- BLS required
- Trade School Graduate - Electroneurodiagnostic Tech preferred, 1 year of experience in lieu of degree accepted
- Certification in Neurophysiologic Intraoperative Monitoring (CNIM) and Registered Evoked Potential Technologist (REPT) preferred
Department/Position Overview:
Performs a wide variety of neurophysiological diagnostic studies in the laboratory, intra-operatively and in the intensive care settings; operates and performs preventative maintenance on complex monitoring instruments; documents all acquired data for interpretation; ensures tests performed are properly ordered, charged and reported; makes independent assessments that may indicate urgent medical interaction.
