Essential Job Functions
- Oversees and participates in the completion of compliance reporting and external surveys
- Provides direction and evaluates various approaches for analytic projects with other members of the department; as needed
- Reviews departmental reports for accuracy and completion prior to campus distribution
- Works collaboratively with other members of the department on projects and analyses to provide timely and relevant data and information to university leadership in support of the university’s mission and goals
- Conducts various statistical analyses in support of measuring the effectiveness of student success initiatives
- Collects, analyzes, and summarizes student success metrics as well as benchmarking data
- Assists with the setting of strategic student success goals and measures the associated metrics
- Contributes to the administration and analysis of student surveys in support of the university’s strategic plan as well as presents results to university leadership
- Produces standard and ad-hoc reporting as well as runs enrollment and retention projections
- Manages data matters by addressing with department possible solutions
- Builds external relationships to support the understanding of various program/initiatives so the department can better assist with assessing programs’ impacts and success
- Serves as the institutional research (IR) representative on various university committees
- Supports grant efforts universitywide by providing data and analysis pre-and-post grant awarding to the university
- Performs other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of a master's degree
- Moderate amount of experience working in an institutional research office in a higher education setting, enterprise data and reporting of IPEDS data or other related experience
- Proficiency in quantitative analyses with a strong commitment to data integrity
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to multi-task, set priorities, and work well in a small team setting
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in statistics, research methods, or a related field of study
- Proficiency in Tableau
- Experience with Microsoft Access
