Life Enrichment Associate

Pay Rate: $14.50 - 16.50/hr DOE; SIGN ON BONUS: $1,000
Shifts: WEEKEND AVAILABILITY REQUIRED
Location: Wesley Willows (Willows Health Center)
Summary:
Develops and administers a comprehensive activity program to meet the interests and capabilities of residents.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Assumes the responsibility, under the direction of the Director and Asst. Director of Life Enrichment, for the design and development of recreation and leisure programs to meet the assessed needs, interest, and capabilities of the residents.
- Assesses and documents resident�s abilities and needs and records participation in activities so this can be analyzed in relation to needs, interests, and past lifestyle.
- Assures that all activities conform to the criteria of federal, state, and local accreditation and licensing agencies or organizations.
- Compiles a weekly activity program calendar, has the calendars printed, and distributes them to appropriate personnel and residents.
- Coordinates programs with other departments and interfaces with all personnel as appropriate.
- Assures completion of all regular and specialized activity programs through monitoring documentation and formulating reports.
- Uses community resources in the development of programs.
- Utilizes computer software programs for assessment tools, participation records, and program design.
- Relates in a positive manner to customers and maintains positive behavior at work.
- Demonstrates professionalism and pride in performance.
- Exhibits a willingness to adapt to changing environments; flexible in work assignments and demonstrates ability to perform as a part of the department and corporate teams.

Minimum Education/Skills/Experience/Credentials:
- High school graduate or equivalent.
- A college degree is preferred.
- Proficiency in technology and computer programs; including advanced experience with Microsoft Office.
- Must be able to drive small passenger bus; CDL not required.
- Good interpersonal relations with proven communications skills, both verbal and written
- Must have the ability to interface with residents, family members, employees, and member of the community.
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to sit for 2-3 hours during an 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to stand and walk for 3-4 hours during an 8-hour shift.
- Must be able to frequently lift 10 to 25 pounds while walking or bending at the waist and knees.
- Must be able to frequently push, pull, or move carts and wheelchairs exerting a force of 50 to 100 pounds.
Other regulated requirements:
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment background check, including (MVR) moving vehicle records.
- Must have or be willing to receive the Flu-Shot Vaccine, and TB testing.
- Must be willing to undergo pre-employment drug screening.
- Must be willing to undergo biometric screening.
