Stanford Women on Boards
Stanford Women on Boards (SWB) is committed to increasing the representation, readiness, and influence of Stanford-affiliated leaders on corporate and fiduciary boards. Launched in 2009, SWB has grown to over 2,000+ members who are active Stanford-affiliated women and allies committed to serving as stewards in the boardrooms of public and private companies and nonprofit organizations. SWB is focused both on accelerating its members’ journeys to the boardroom—through board-readiness programming, networking, and board match services—and on helping its board-experienced members to improve their board stewardship and leadership skills. As SWB has grown and refined its strategic intentions, the program has sprouted new initiatives and improved its technology platforms for community building, educational content delivery as well as board matching.
