The School of Engineering
Stanford Engineering has been at the forefront of innovation for nearly a century, creating pivotal technologies that have transformed the worlds of information technology, communications, health care, energy, business and beyond. Our faculty and students are creative risk-takers who pursue excellence across a breadth of disciplines. Our alumni include some of the world's most successful leaders in technology and business. Our staff are critical to enabling Stanford Engineering to accomplish its mission: seeking solutions to some of the world's most urgent challenges and educating leaders who will make the world a better place through the power of engineering principles, techniques and systems.
The Stanford Nanofabrication Facility (SNF), a technology service center on campus, provides equipment and expertise in nanoscale science and engineering to Stanford researchers and beyond, from academic, industrial, and government organizations across the US and around the globe. Last year, over 600 researchers in engineering, medicine, physics and chemistry used our cleanroom and labs to make structures and devices that help them understand the world and work to make it a better place. More than a lab, it’s a vibrant research community.
We seek an experienced Process Engineering Manager to support research operations in the MOCVD laboratory and related cleanroom areas. This candidate will join a strong team in a customer-focused organization, devising creative, effective solutions to everyday lab concerns. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of experience and skills, from practical hands-on knowledge of equipment and process development in MOCVD and related technologies, to vendor relations and financial operations. Knowledge and experience in process integration is highly desired to enable our world-class researchers to turn their ideas into real devices. Although the core competency of SNF is based in semiconductor technologies, our labmember community is forward-looking and trans-disciplinary; thus, the candidate should be flexible in thinking and well-versed in engineering fundamentals in order to adapt to a changing technology landscape beyond silicon.
