OVERVIEW
The CDC Foundation seeks an Operations Support Specialist to support the Massachusetts Department of Public Health's Women, Infants and Children (WIC) Program by providing technical support to Local Program staff in their operation of the Eos MIS and to support WIC participants in receiving the benefits available in their WIC benefit accounts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Ability to understand, apply and explain the laws, policies, procedures and guidelines governing WIC activities.
Ability to gather information by questioning individuals and examining records and documents.
Knowledge of the types and applications of electronic data processing equipment including computers and related peripheral equipment.
Ability to write concisely to express thoughts clearly, and to develop ideas in logical sequence. Ability to prepare clear, concise reports and other written materials.
Ability to maintain accurate records, and work accurately with names, numbers, and codes.
Knowledge of the capabilities and limitations of EDP equipment including computers and related peripheral devices.
Ability to follow oral and written instructions.
Ability to coordinate the efforts of others in accomplishing assigned work objectives. Ability to coordinate projects and follow through to completion.
Ability to establish and maintain harmonious working relationships with others.
Ability to establish rapport with persons from different ethnic, cultural, and/or economic backgrounds and to maintain harmonious working relationships in a team setting.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in customer service related to systems.
Knowledge of basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office products.
Familiarity with local WIC program operations.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Support Local Program staff in their operation of the Eos MIS
Support WIC participants in receiving the benefits available in their WIC benefit accounts
Support is provided primarily via telephone. Local Program staff will require help with computer, peripherals, and data communication operations, as well as guidance with the proper use of the Eos MIS to enroll participants, assign benefits, and manage cases. Participants will require assistance with proper use of the WIC Card for selection of approved foods and benefit redemption.

This role is involved in a dynamic public health program. As such, roles and responsibilities are subject to change as situations evolve. Roles and responsibilities listed above may be expanded upon or updated to match priorities and needs, once written approval is received by both the CDC Foundation and the Massachusetts Department of Public Health in order to best support the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in their public health programming.
This position is currently a hybrid position. CDC Foundation retains the right to make adjustments to this as required.
