Job Description
This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. Under the general direction of the Executive Director, the Health & Wellness Director will oversee and drive member engagement in group exercise attendance and participation, drive revenue through personal training and collaborate and support participation in the Active Healthy Adults group exercise programming.
Qualifications
● Certified Group Fitness Instructor, preferred Les Mills and/or experience in the fitness industry.
● CPR/AED and First Aid Certification required (within 30 days of hire)
● Must be reliable, punctual and responsible.
● Ability to relate and communicate effectively with a diverse group of stakeholders, committee members and event participants of all ages and socioeconomic backgrounds.
● Promotes and incorporates the YMCA four core values and character development model in all branch activities.
● Have a willingness and ability to provide good customer service to all event participants.
