DescriptionLandlord Engagement Supervisor
Grant-Funded Position | Oklahoma City
Great housing partnerships don’t happen by accident — they’re built through trust, strategy, and strong relationships. City Rescue Mission is seeking a Landlord Engagement Supervisor to lead our Landlord Engagement Team while personally managing a portfolio of key landlord and property management relationships, including high-end and market-rate communities.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who thrives at the intersection of relationship-based sales, negotiation, housing expertise, and people leadership. You’ll help open doors to housing by building partnerships others can’t — and by leading a team that turns those partnerships into real, lasting outcomes for individuals and families.
What You’ll Do
- Lead, coach, and manage the performance of Landlord Engagement Specialists
- Build, maintain, and grow a personal portfolio of landlord and property management partners, including Class A and market-rate properties
- Recruit, engage, and retain landlords and property management companies across the metro area
- Lead and approve negotiations related to rental rates, incentives, unit holds, and lease terms
- Serve as escalation support for complex landlord concerns and housing placement challenges
- Collaborate closely with case management leadership to align housing availability with client needs
- Ensure properties meet inspection and compliance standards (Fair Housing, OHFA, OCHA)
- Oversee accurate documentation, reporting, and housing inventory updates
- Track outcomes, identify trends, and share insights to support program growth and improvement
-
What We’re Looking For
- Required: Minimum of 3 years of housing-related experience, including landlord engagement, housing programs, property management, leasing, or real estate with a housing placement or compliance component
- Required: Supervisory or team leadership experience
- Proven ability to build and sustain professional relationships with landlords and property management companies
- Strong negotiation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills
- Results-driven, organized, and comfortable managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Confident verbal and written communicator
Preferred Certifications & Licensing (Not Required):
- Oklahoma Real Estate License (Sales Associate or Broker)
- Property management certifications (CAM, CPM, RMP)
- Fair Housing Certification or comparable compliance training
- Experience with HUD-funded housing programs or coordinated entry systems
- Valid Oklahoma driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to pass required background and motor vehicle record checks

Housing access starts with strong relationships. In this role, you’ll build trust with landlords, strengthen housing partnerships across the community, and lead a team that helps turn opportunity into stability.
