Job Description
Four development organizations in Togo strive to increase the quality of life of local populations (and specific groups such as women, youth, disabled persons and socio-economically disadvantaged populations) through capacity development in sustainable agriculture, environmental protection, entrepreneurship and related skills.
All four associations seek to increase and diversify their funding to support sustainability and to better serve their target groups. These organizations have been working on fundraising and resource mobilization, specifically through increasing their marketing and communications through social media. They are interested in collaborating with Virtual Service Pilot Participants to expand their financial reach, foster new partnerships, and seek opportunities to mobilize resources to support their activities and projects.
Each VSPP will be assigned to a partner organization during the post-led orientation at the start of their engagement. During their initial meetings, VSPPs will discuss objectives for the 13-week engagement, including initial training plans and mentorship opportunities. VSPPs will have regular check-ins with Peace Corps Togo staff and may collaborate with each other to share resources and lessons learned.
The organizations have previously collaborated with the Peace Corps. They understand that the role of a VSPP is very different than a Peace Corps Volunteer or Peace Corps Response Volunteer.
