U.S.VETS—the nation’s largest nonprofit dedicated to ending veteran homelessness—is hiring a Veteran Talent Specialist to build employer partnerships and prepare veterans for meaningful careers that match their skills and aspirations.
What You’ll Do
As a Veteran Talent Specialist, you will:
- Develop and manage relationships with corporate recruiters, HR managers, and military program leaders to create employment opportunities for veterans.
- Build a robust pipeline of jobs through strategic partnerships, outreach, and networking events.
- Meet with veteran talent regularly to support Employment Development Plans (EDPs), identify marketable skills, and guide job searches.
- Assist veterans with resumes, cover letters, LinkedIn profiles, and interview preparation.
- Organize and lead employer-focused events, workshops, and recruitment activities.
- Utilize sourcing strategies across social media, career sites, and professional networks to identify opportunities.
- Maintain accurate documentation in CRM systems and track progress toward placement goals.

QualificationsRequired Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Social Services, or related field OR equivalent experience in recruiting, career coaching, or job development.
- Minimum 1 year of experience in talent acquisition, workforce development, or related field.
- Strong communication and presentation skills; ability to engage employers and veteran talent effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office; experience with CRM systems (Agile, Salesforce) preferred.
- Ability to work independently and meet performance metrics.
Not required but a definite PLUS!
- Experience working with veteran populations or military programs.
- Background in event planning or employer engagement.
