We now have a fantastic opportunity to join as a Senior Estates Surveyor, focusing on property disposals. In this role you will manage a significant caseload of surplus property disposals ranging from residential, commercial, operational, land & boating property units. Senior Estates Surveyors focus on growing and protecting the Trust’s income, developing both existing and new revenue streams with the goal of increasing income above inflation over the next decade. They bring specialist expertise to managing the Trust’s operational and commercial estate, handling the legal, technical and property‑related matters that support income generation and safeguard the organisation’s assets.Working Hours & LocationThis role follows 37 hours, Monday to Friday working pattern. Key ResponsibilitiesManage, negotiate and complete a significant caseload of complex property disposals that are surplus to the Trust’s requirements including residential, commercial, operational, land & boating property units.To work with and consult internal and external partners to achieve best value for the Trust from its surplus property disposals.Maintain a knowledge of the relevant Law and Regulatory legislation relevant to property disposals including Charities Act 2012 & Minimum Energy Efficiency Standards.Ensure compliance with the Trust’s mandatory standards and policies.Displaying the Trust’s values and behaviours at all times.Ensuring that diversity and inclusion are integrated into all aspects of Trust life and promoting inclusion by challenging behaviour, practices, actions, or decisions that are counter to the objectives of the Trust’s policies and values.About YouYou’re someone who thrives working independently, using your own initiative to manage a busy and varied workload with strong attention to detail. You’re highly organised, able to plan and deliver multiple property disposals with minimal supervision, and confident travelling extensively to inspect sites. With a commercial mindset, you know how to drive transactions through to completion, and you work collaboratively and professionally with both internal colleagues and external stakeholders to get the best results.Skills & QualificationsTechnical SkillsEducated to degree level in a relevant subject or equivalent.Membership of relevant professional body at an appropriate level e.g. RICS qualification essential.Good working knowledge of property valuation principles including key RICS Valuation Standards.Demonstrable experience and knowledge within Property Law, including Landlord and Tenant & Charities Act 2012.Experience of working within the property field.Ability to manage complex, multifaceted commercial and legal matters pertaining to property disposals.
