The Philanthropy Coordinator supports our mission by providing administrative and operational support for San Diego Humane Society’s online fundraising programs, with a focus on the day-to-day execution of the Constant Companion Monthly Giving Program (CCP), donor stewardship and database maintenance to ensure a seamless experience for digital supporters.

What you’ll do:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for the Constant Companion Monthly Giving Program (CCP) by monitoring the dedicated email inbox and phone line, providing high-touch customer service for gift adjustments, upgrades, and general inquiries.
- Support the Digital Philanthropy Manager, Online Giving in the end-to-end administration of CCP, ensuring all acquisition, renewal, and upgrade activities are executed with precision.
- Support the planning, execution, monitoring, and reporting for digital fundraising campaigns (e.g., End of Year and GivingTuesday) and semi-annual Constant Companion acquisition challenges.
- Coordinate and maintain the annual online communications calendar, ensuring all deadlines for email deployments and website updates are met.
- Perform regular data maintenance within the Luminate Online database to ensure accurate donor records, gift receipting, and clean constituent data.
- Help prepare preliminary performance reports for monthly online giving, Facebook fundraising, and email campaigns to assist with departmental analysis.
What we’re looking for:
- Requires an AA degree in Communications, Marketing, Nonprofit Management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Must have at least two (2) years of experience in a professional office setting, preferably within a Philanthropy or nonprofit environment. Basic understanding of online fundraising principles and donor stewardship.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) is required.
- Experience with communications CRM or fundraising databases (preferably Luminate Online or Raiser's Edge), understanding of social networking and social media as it relates to fundraising, and/or experience with sustaining giving or membership programs are a plus.
Location & Hours: Based at our San Diego Campus. This position works 40 hours per week.
Pay: Starting range is between $24.20 – $26.92 per hour.
The listed hiring range for this position depicts the target range of pay rates for candidates. The maximum of the hiring range is reserved for candidates with the highest qualifications and relevant experience. Compensation for internal candidates may increase beyond the listed range based on performance over time. For all candidates, the actual starting pay rate is determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to your years of related education and experience, internal pay equity, and position location.
