Ronald McDonald House Tampa Bay (RMH-TB) has been working to improve the health and well-being of children and their families since 1980. Our primary program, the Ronald McDonald House, provides a place to stay for families that have children receiving medical treatment at Tampa Bay hospitals and outpatient centers. RMH-TB operates 5 Ronald McDonald Houses in Tampa Bay, 3 located in St. Petersburg and 2 located in Tampa.
Overview

JOB SUMMARY (POSITION OVERVIEW)
The full-time Housekeeping Associate maintains a clean, comfortable, and orderly home environment while assisting guests with daily needs. Responsibilities include keeping self-serve meal areas stocked and tidy. This role is part of the house operations team and reports to the East House Family Experience Manager, with daily supervision from the Housekeeping Manager. All housekeeping tasks prioritize a compassionate, welcoming, and safe space for families undergoing pediatric treatment.
- Clean and tidy guest rooms and shared spaces; sanitize surfaces, spot mop, and reset materials to standards. Clean kitchen and laundry appliances, and assist with select linen laundering.
- Regularly interact with families to assess needs, provide support, and guide them on using kitchen, laundry, and common area appliances.
Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs and in-service quarterly team meetings.
JOB QUALIFICATIONS/SPECIFICATIONS/RESTRICTIONS
Knowledge/ Skills/ Experience:
- Relevant housekeeping experience required.
- Able to work independently and within a team to achieve tasks.
- Bilingual preferred, but must have the ability to speak and understand English fluently.
- Must meet healthcare requirements of partner hospital, complete biannual CPR training and annual fire alarm training.
- Understanding and sensitivity apropos to the intersections of ability, class, ethnicity, gender, gender identity, race, religion/spirituality, and sexual orientation.
Physical Demands:
This job involves all the following in various degrees but is not limited to only these physical demands: attendance, standing, sitting, walking, squatting, carrying, lifting, climbing, twisting, reaching, pulling, pushing, cleaning, writing, hearing, seeing, speaking. The ability to push up to 50 pounds and lift up to 40 pounds.
