This position is responsible for working with the Community Outreach TNVR Coordinator with onsite/offsite job duties including cat colony assessments, trapping and transport of community cats in Hillsborough county, as well as, helping rescue injured animals.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Rescuing injured animals
- Using the company vehicle to transport cats and returning them to their neighborhoods, to support the community cat program.
- Transport animals as needed to and from the shelter.
- Participate in mass trapping and follow through on recovery.
- Coordinate, transport and promote the Community Cat Program
- Cleaning the feral cat patio and cat traps.
- Preparing the cat tags and board numbers.
- Answering phone calls and emails, counseling clients regarding trapping, sterilization, post-operative recovery and the releasing of cats.
- Assist clients with renting out and checking in traps and educating on usage of traps.
- Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of company vehicles when in use.
- Provide information and resources for people interested in TNVR.
- Assist the TNVR Manager when needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:
- Must have a valid and good driver’s license
- A high school diploma is required
- Experience in TNVR activities and mass trapping (preferred)
- Experience in cat health and behavior preferred
- Experience handling animals (highly preferred)
- Must have a clean driving record and able to maintain a valid driver's license in order to operate a company vehicle
- Must be able to work independently.

Hourly rate is $22.00
